LOST IN RUST / PRIVACY
Your information. Kept simple.
Community profiles
When you sign in, we store your Steam account ID, your provider display name, your chosen site name, your bio, uploaded avatar, product links, visibility preferences, and the date your profile was created. These identify your profile when you return. Site administrators can view registered profiles and choose which members appear on the Staff page. Administrators may approve a public developer profile containing the bio, provider display name, and product links. Only admin-approved profiles appear on the Staff page. Provider IDs are visible to their owners and administrators. If your developer profile is approved for publication, its share URL also includes your provider account ID.
We use an essential session cookie to keep you signed in and protect forms. We do not receive your Steam password. Older profile records remain stored; contact our team for help accessing an older profile.
You can export or delete your profile from the profile page. Deleting a profile does not remove your Steam account. For assistance, contact the team through Discord on our contact page. Staff product links lead to independent sites with their own policies.
To limit sign-in abuse, we temporarily store a hashed network address and request count for ten minutes. Expired records are cleared on subsequent sign-in attempts. Hosting access logs and private backups may retain records separately; contact us on Discord about retention or deletion requests.
